Another Slice, located at Directions Youth Services Centre, provides a venue for self-expression among the youth who live under difficult conditions. This collection is a testament to their creativity, insight and resilience. As Kelsey Johnson writes in the introduction, Everyday, you walk past us....when it comes down to it the homeless and poor are people too, and we are ALL here for a reason, so its up to ALL of us to try and make it better. About the author The authors of this collection are street-entrenched youth who participated in the creation of the zine, Another Slice, based in Vancouver, BC. Editor Eliah Mills is a youth worker who served as the faciliator of the zine while working at the Directions Youth Services Centre. Co-editor Theresa Rogers participated in Another Slice meetings as a researcher in the YouthCLAIM project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada.
